I'm Yasiris Gomez from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic. I'm Deaf, but I'm fluent in spoken Spanish (native), English (advanced), Dominican and American Sign Language (intermediate).
I hold a bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and a master's in Interaction Design with a minor in High Tech Entrepreneurship from Harbour.Space University.
My design process always begins with understanding users and their problems, emphasizing solutions that add value with accessibility in mind. Accessibility is not an option but a human right, ensuring access for a wide range of abilities. I draw my inspiration from impact driven businesses, entrepreneurial journeys, people’s stories and the Global Sustainable Goals 2030.
